FILIPINO SWEET SPAGHETTI

FILIPINO SWEET SPAGHETTI

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2- 2 lbs ground pork or beef
  • 4-5 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 15-20 pieces Filipino red hot dogs (sliced diagonally)
  • 3 cups or 35 oz Sweet Style Del Monte or UFC Spaghetti Sauce
  • 3 cups or 3 (11.29 oz bottles) UFC banana sauce
  • 2-3 tbsp cooking oil  for sauteing
  • 3 -4 tbsp granulated sugar, adjust accordingly or omit if desired
  • salt & pepper to taste 
  • 1/3 cup grated cheese and more  for topping

Instructions:

  1. Heat the cooking oil in a wok and saute garlic and onion. Cook until onion is soft and translucent.
  2. Add the ground meat and continue cooking until the meat is no longer pink.
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Add the hot dogs. Cook for 8-10 minutes.
  5. Add the spaghetti sauce, banana sauce and sugar.
  6. Cook on low to medium heat while stirring occasionally for 15 minutes or until the sauce gets thick.
  7. Season with salt & pepper if desired.
  8. Serve with spaghetti noodles (see package directions in cooking the spaghetti noodles).
  9. Top with grated cheese.
